For those Pitupi followers who don’t yet know, our team is spread out in northern Europe, with Stavri and me, Stefanie, calling Sweden „home“, and fellow co-founder Maria with two feet on the ground in northern Germany. Our web guru, Blerta, also lives in Germany, but a long train ride away in the Bavarian capital of München. It’s rare that we all get to meet in one place, so this past weekend was a treat for Maria and myself as we worked together on our crowdfunding campaign.
Our main goal for the weekend was to shoot a film to be used in the campaign. We wanted the film to convey who we are as a fair trade brand while also showing off our children’s clothing items. We’re more than pleased with the results and look forward to sharing the film with you all once we launch our crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo in the autumn! The brains and talent behind the film were filmmaker Jann Van Husen, who worked tirelessly to make sure we got the footage we were after. We also owe a lot of thanks to our little models and their gracious parents for participating in the film and really bringing the clothes to life.
This week, Maria and Jann are shooting even more footage, on site in Blinisht, Albania, where our fair trade workshop is located. We’ve already interviewed some of the seamstresses who will be responsible for creating your baby’s eco-friendly clothes, and really can’t wait to share some of their insights and thoughts with you in the weeks to come!
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again–we want you to know exactly what’s happening behind the scenes. Once Jann has edited the many hours of footage we’ve filmed this week, we’ll have a video that shows you the who, how, what, and why behind Pitupi. Stay tuned and be sure to check out the gallery below for another sneak peek behind our Indiegogo crowdfunding film shoot!
