What a busy month it has been for Pitupi! But busy is good; there’s no time to sit idle when you’re engaging in a fashion revolution!
Since we last checked in, we’ve added a new retailer. In case you didn’t see our celebrations on Facebook and Instagram–you can now buy Pitupi at Mühlow at Malmö’s Triangeln shopping center. This awesome store is located on the second floor of the mall, and specializes in offering sustainable clothing. The owner of the store, Kerstin Mühlow, and her super kind team are preparing for the launch of the neighboring Malmö Sustainability Center, which will open up to the public during the middle of this month. We’re excited to see how both the store and center will enhance local interest in -and knowledge of- sustainability in the garment industry.
Mühlow isn’t the only new distributor we’re proud to be collaborating with; we’ve also begun circulating Pitupi’s organic bodies and pyjamas into the collections of a great new company, Lilla Fisk. Lilla Fisk offers parents the option of renting high quality baby garments and then returning them once the item no longer fits their baby. This not only helps us reduce our environmental footprint, but it also gives us the opportunity to work with like-minded social entrepreneurs, like Lilla Fisk’s Christine Gorte.
We also took part in the Social Innovation Summit, held a presentation on ethical fashion for some very clever and inspiring middle school students, had two photo shoots, and signed up for some wonderful Christmas markets. November 27th will see us selling at Stenkrossen’s Alternativ Julmarknad; while December 10th and 11th will have us offering items to buy at Sankt Gertruds Julmarknad. More on that in the weeks to come!
Last but not least, we signed on to have our very own pop-up shop in Mitt Möllan, renting out From Skåne’s boutique space. Mark your calendars now for the 28th of November to the 5th of December.
Too many dates to keep track of? Follow us on Instagram and Facebook, and we’ll keep you in the loop!
‚Till next time,
Pitupi teammate, Stef
